Will Coronavirus Affect Your Wedding or Dinner Party Booking?
Covid-19 Latest Information
Updated 24th March 2020
We want to assure you that we are being vigilant, keeping up to date with the latest information on Coronavirus and reviewing any implications it causes for us as a catering business. We will update this space when necessary.

First of all, we would like to reassure you that we remain calm and measured and that we're hear for you in this difficult time.
We will continue to trade outside Treliske Hospital, serving the NHS Staff. We have been identified as key workers as we are providing food to these hard working members of staff- which is particularly important at the moment with diminishing time and food available to buy in supermarkets. We have assessed the risks will be remaining open as we are outdoors and we have all of the necessary items in our 5 star rated kitchen to maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times (gloves, hand wash, anti- bac and blue roll).
However, we do understand that you may have questions about your upcoming booking and we will try to answer them below.
Will My Booking Still Go Ahead?
The government has now enforced 'lockdown' with the exception to essential travel or needs of key workers. With this in mind we will not be taking any bookings for the foreseeable future. We will consider taking bookings in June but this may later need to be postponed. If you already have a booking for this summer you may wish to postpone, or we can keep in touch and follow guidance in the coming weeks in the hope that it is possible to keep your date.

I enquired with registrars on 24th March and they have advised they will only be able to attend weddings with the bride and groom and 2 witnesses for the foreseeable future.

We are increasingly cautious and unsure on how the coming months will pan out. We will operate as usual as and when the government allows us to. We will of course be taking extra precautions; we will ensure that all staff are following the guidelines with extra hand washing. We will also bring sanitising hand gel for the use within each venue. We will use fast acting antibacterial spray on all surfaces, disposable kitchen towel and disposable gloves. Staff will be vetted before coming to the venue, if they have been in contact with people infected with COVID-19 and/or think they or anyone in their household have symptoms similar to those of the virus they will not be permitted to work.

What If the Staff Get Ill?
In the unlikely event that Martin, myself or any other member of staff become ill with the virus. (We believe this to be a low threat, as we are all healthy people without existing medical conditions). We have sufficient staff for front of house and in the kitchen who are experienced and worked with us for the past few years. One chef already booked to work is as experienced as Martin, and would not struggle running a team with agency staff if necessary.
What If the Bridal Party/ Guests Get Ill?
We are sure that you are all doing all that you can to keep yourselves and loved ones safe from harm. We recommend that you keep in touch with your guests and ask them to follow the current guidelines. If they or anyone in their household have symptoms of the virus within a 14 day period of the wedding, politely ask that they do not attend. There may be elderly or vulnerable people that you are concerned about during their recommended self isolation period, or guests who were due to travel from abroad who are no longer able to. If this is causing great concern, please talk to us about postponing. There are of course other ways to keep those valued friends/ family members involved, such as through video calls on Skype or Zoom
To ensure that you are covered for this unfortunate possibility, we recommend that you consult with your own insurance to ensure this is included.
What If I Need to Cancel or Postpone?
We understand that cancelling or postponing your event is not something that you will have planned for. We are aiming to be as accommodating as possible in this difficult time for all involved. For all paid bookings (50% of total balance would be accepted) we are able to reschedule to a mutually convenient date before 31st March 2022.

The thought of postponing a large event like a wedding can be quite daunting. Hitched have some really helpful tips for doing this.
We're in this together...
Thank you for being understanding and bearing with us whilst we all take in the daily updates. We are aware that it is an uncertain time for everyone. We sincerely hope that we are able to continue as normal with all of our booked events from June onward, but understand if you feel you would prefer to postpone your booking.
Until then, we will be serving food to the superheroes aka the NHS staff at Treliske Hospital.
Thanks again,
Charlotte and Martin
